Overview
AKHosting provides affordable paid hosting services with generous resource allocations per slot. This Fair Use Policy ensures all customers can enjoy reliable, consistent service by preventing abuse and ensuring resources are shared fairly across our infrastructure.
Our Philosophy: We believe in providing honest, reliable hosting for legitimate Discord bots and Modmail instances. As long as you use our service as intended, you will not hit artificial limitations or surprise restrictions.
What is Fair Use?
Fair use means using AKHosting resources reasonably and for their intended purpose. The vast majority of users naturally stay within these guidelines without any special effort.
Examples of Fair Use
- Running Discord bots that serve communities of any size.
- Running a Modmail bot for your Discord server.
- Testing and developing new bot features or functionality.
- Normal spikes in usage during events or peak times.
- Bots with typical Discord API usage patterns.
- Automated tasks directly related to Discord bot functionality.
Prohibited Activities
The following activities violate this Fair Use Policy and may result in account suspension, server ban, or termination:
Resource Abuse
- Cryptocurrency Mining: Mining Bitcoin, Ethereum, or any other cryptocurrency is strictly prohibited.
- Proxy / VPN Services: Running proxy servers, VPN services, or traffic relay services.
- File Hosting / Distribution: Using your slot as a file hosting or distribution platform.
- Background Processing: Running non-Discord related computational tasks or background jobs.
- Deliberate Resource Hogging: Intentionally consuming excessive CPU, RAM, or bandwidth beyond what legitimate bot functionality requires.
- Re-hosting Other Services: You may not use AKHosting to host, operate, or provide any other bot hosting, web hosting, or similar hosting services - including reselling or proxying to third parties.
- AFK Scripts / Farming: Any form of AFK script usage is strictly prohibited, including Minecraft AFK scripts, website AFK scripts, or any automation designed to farm resources, uptime, or benefits.
Malicious Activities
- DDoS / Attack Tools: Hosting bots or scripts designed to attack, flood, or disrupt other services.
- Spam Bots: Bots that send unsolicited messages, raid servers, or engage in coordinated harassment.
- Token Grabbers: Malware or tools designed to steal Discord accounts or sensitive credentials.
- Exploit Tools: Software designed to exploit vulnerabilities in Discord or other platforms.
- Scraping / Harvesting: Bots that aggressively scrape Discord data beyond normal API usage patterns.
Terms of Service Violations
- Discord ToS Violations: Bots that violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
- Illegal Content: Hosting, distributing, or facilitating illegal content of any kind.
- Account Sharing: Selling, sharing, or transferring hosting accounts to third parties.
- Circumventing Limits: Creating multiple accounts to bypass resource restrictions or billing requirements.
Resource Guidelines
Each hosting slot includes defined resource allocations. Here is what we monitor:
CPU Usage
While we don't impose strict momentary CPU limits, sustained high CPU usage (consistently above 80% for extended periods) will trigger a review. Brief spikes are normal and expected for active bots.
Memory (RAM)
You are allocated a defined amount of RAM per slot. Occasional temporary spikes during high activity are acceptable, but consistent overuse may require optimization or may result in your process being restarted.
Storage
Use your allocated storage for bot code, configurations, and reasonable log files. Regularly clean up old logs and unnecessary files to stay within your allocation.
Bandwidth
Normal Discord bot API traffic is included. Serving large files, streaming media, or other high-bandwidth non-bot usage is not permitted.
Process Limits
Run one primary process per hosting slot. Multiple lightweight helper processes are fine, but do not run unrelated applications within your slot.
Monitoring & Enforcement
How We Monitor
We use automated systems to monitor resource usage patterns and detect unusual activity. We look for:
- Sustained resource usage inconsistent with Discord bot operations.
- Network patterns suggesting prohibited activities.
- User reports of bot misconduct.
- Violations of Discord's Terms of Service.
Enforcement Process
- Detection: Automated or manual detection of unusual patterns.
- Investigation: Our team reviews flagged accounts to determine if violations occurred.
- Warning: First-time minor violations typically result in a warning and a request to correct the issue.
- Suspension: Repeated violations or serious abuse results in temporary account suspension.
- Termination: Severe violations or failure to comply with warnings leads to permanent account termination with possible data deletion.
Important: We reserve the right to immediately terminate accounts engaged in illegal activities, malicious behavior, or severe resource abuse without prior warning.
Appeals Process
If your account is suspended or terminated and you believe this was in error:
- Contact our support team within 30 days of the action.
- Provide your account details and a clear explanation.
- We will review your case and respond as soon as possible.
- Decisions on appeals are final.
Open an appeal via our Discord support server.
Reporting Violations
If you encounter bots or users violating this Fair Use Policy:
- Contact our support team through our Discord server.
- Provide specific details about the violation, including bot IDs or descriptions.
- We investigate all reports promptly and confidentially.
Policy Updates
We may update this Fair Use Policy to address new patterns of abuse or service changes. Material changes will be announced via our Discord server. Continued use of AKHosting after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
Questions?
If you are unsure whether your intended use complies with this policy, please ask before proceeding. We would rather answer questions upfront than deal with violations later.

Remember: This policy exists to ensure fair access for all customers. If you are legitimately hosting Discord bots or Modmail, you have nothing to worry about.
